Roads Contract Win

Downer has just been awarded a major contract to upgrade 40 roads over the next five years on behalf of Horsham Rural City Council, using the innovative microsurfacing maintenance technique.

Our Road Services team specialises in solutions that preserve and extend the lives of roads, delaying the need for costly reconstruction and providing a sustainable preservation method. Microsurfacing uses specialised machinery to add a new layer of surface to seal and protect local roads. It’s also less emissions-intensive as well as being quicker to complete than traditional methods, therefore minimising disruption to the public.

Works commenced this week with the first application on Bleakley Street in Horsham. Well done to the team.
